I was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan when I was 10 years old. Since then, I have lived most of my life in Ann Arbor, where I went to University of Michigan for a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During my time in dental school, I was the president of my student class for all 4 years of dental school. During my time in Michigan, I also participated in Taft clinic, a free dental clinic in Ann Arbor, Michigan as a provider and I worked in underserved areas of Flint, Traverse City, and Grand Rapids, Michigan to provide varieties of dental services to many different patients. I have worked on projects to promote self oral cancer screenings for early prevention and to educate patients about the importance of oral cancer. Since then, I moved to Chicago about 2 years ago where I have been working as a general dentist and seeing patients of all ages.
I am fluent in both English and Korean. During my free time, I like to watch soccer and chase my troublemaker puppy.
